The Tábor Triathlon Festival 2020, which was scheduled for July 26, will not take place in 2020. The international race, which was supposed to be a part of the European Junior Cup, the Czech Olympic Cup is cancelled due to difficult prediction of the epidemiological situation and the spread of COVID-19.

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) currently suspended all actions until the end of June. The same measure was taken by the European Triathlon Union (ETU), which, however, also postponed the European Championship from the beginning of July. “According to the information we have, ETU has extended the suspension of all activities until mid-July, which is already very close to our race. The risks are therefore too high for us. Unfortunately, we have to wait until 2021 to organize the race.”

“Representatives not only from Europe, but also, New Zealand, Israel or Australia are coming to the race. We were afraid, they would not get it to the start due to global restrictions.”
